Is The Recession Over?

The past eight years have been a real challenge. Jobs are being lost. Homes are being lost. The auto industry lost billions of dollars. Yet, we are seeing more signs of hope. Housing is coming back at about a 4% increase. This is a good indicator.

The Banks are beginning to pay back billions of dollars to the government. This is good news. The only lagging indicator is jobs. We need a jobs task force. The unemployment is at 9.7%. In other words, 95% employment is considered full employment. Four percent of of the work force needs jobs.

The recession has been painful. Families have been hurt in ways that words can not do justice. This is a great time to plan and work has hard is the key to growth. When the media announces that the recession is over it will be too late. The time to act is now.
