Winning and Losing

The hot issue this weekend focused on Rio winning The Olympics and Chicago losing. The real issue is President Obama made a real pitch for for the USA and lost in the first round.

There are so many issues in the world that deserve our attention. Jobs are being lost at nearly ten percent. The economy is still having problems for the average family, and we are still facing war in two major areas. The Olympics are just games that turn into a political football contest.

Life is full of winners and losers. Regrettably, we have a lot more losers in the world. The future if anything will become more competitive. People will fight more over less. I only hope that fairness can have its day. We need a system that allows greater opportunity for all. Perhaps we will never see it, but let us hope for the children of the future.

I agree, it's not the end all be all to be chosen to host the Olympics. This isn't the only Olympics, there's one every four years. Sheesh.

I'm sure folks in Chicago are disappointed. But there are other things which demand attention. And those things are more important for our children's future. Thanks very much for your kind review.

The Olympics are not only about or around politics, winners or losers, is also about the jobs and the economy that this project bring to every country. Infrastructure, tourism, etc. Can you imagine Olympics in Africa? Maybe someday...

Everything has a cycle? Hasn't history taught us anything? Every civilisation born thrive to create utopia from struggle, revolution and war. Then live to enjoy the fruit of their Republic (Rome) Democracy (USA)and enjoy freedom and justice. Then beginning of the descent. Afghanistan is a mistake, the super power like URSS lost against a handful of determined guerrilla fighters, what make us believe that we will succeed. Their war is an economic one. The Taliban are paying the afghan about $30 a day to cultivate opium, which they sell a 100 times more to buy more man to their cause,if we doubled that and encourage the afghan to cultivate grains verse sending out men, we will be still saving billion. But we are in an unavoidable crash collision. How can we expect Obama in just a couple of month even years build back what took 10 years to destroy.
