Peace is a Prize?

Now that President Obama has been awarded The Nobel Peace Prize, should we pull out of all wars? I wonder why we are there? The only thing there are mountains and opium.

War is so unnecessary. We are spending so much energy and resources there without anything in return. The world needs peace.

Why not bring all our soldiers but home and build new schools, computers and health centers? The world needs jobs. People are just sitting around waiting for something to happen. Out taxes are too high. If you do have a job, we only get about 68% of our pay.

In closing, there is too much money wasted on war. The world has a job to do. War is not the answer. Greed has played a role in this recession, the other factor is war. I hope we can expand world wide educational program tied to jobs. The full educational/employment act can make the world a better place. This is the real prize.

Like you, I don't like wars. But nevertheless, I must say that I respect the US Army for helping to 'maintain' peace. :)

War occurs because of greed.

All war is a multi-billion business.

This is beautifully written. We should live in a peace rather than fighting and killing fellow human beings.

Peace to you James.

With all the money our country is spending on war, we could feed an entire nation in the Third World, and then some. Our priorities have gotten way off track. It is time to re-evaluate our focus.

As a Vietnamese, I never like wars and I understand wars never bring us nice things. Today many Vietnamese children still get the problems with dioxin from U.S. army in Vietnamese war.

Nothing Against Pres. Obama, but it's too early for him to receive Nobel Prize for peace efforts.

War is expensive, yes, but while the soldiers are there in Iraq and any other places, they should be totally supported.
